It is filled with a lot of friendly people who are willing to have a chat with you, even if you don’t know them. You can visit a lot of bars and have a lot of fun, although it can be a bit crowded. It’s not very expensive to shop stuff and rent places.

Beware of pickpockets. Buy some Macedonian denars because there you can’t use foreign currency in the city. Always keep your belongings close to you. Beware of the dogs that are wandering the main square. Visit the old bazaar and the City Mall.

Skopje is a modern city with population of almost one million and presents Macedonia’s major political, economical, educational and cultural center.
