Here's what two local experts had to say about sanitation, recycling, and waste management in San Fernando City, La Union.

San Fernando City is the capital of the Province of La Union where the different ethnicity of the neighboring provinces had seemed to have meet herein, hence creating a multi-diverse culture and tradition. It may not be as modernized compared to other cities but it could be compared to some first class cities within the National Capital Region. When one wishes to migrate here, I think the very first factor to consider is the quite-dense population which results to excessive air pollution especially in the central business district.

San Fernando City could naturally be like other cities in the world, however, the ambience is way far from the chaotic and quite-polluted environment we often see. It is home. Since it is in the heart of Ilocos Region, you could feel the provincial aura yet you could taste its classic elegance when it comes to its rich culture and tradition.
