While quality of life is something of an elusive or ill-defined concept, it can be boiled down to "Is Harrisonburg a good place to live?" or "Is Harrisonburg a bad place to live?" Here's what one local expert had to say about quality of life and overall happiness in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Harrisonburg, Virginia, is a rapidly-growing college town that is home to a diverse range of people. It is large enough to provide ample sources of music, cuisine, and social opportunities, but it is not so large that is has problems such as crime or pollution. Roughly one third of the population is Hispanic, and there is a strong Mennonite presence. Most importantly to me, Harrisonburg is a wonderful place for raising a family.
