Are residents of Yangon typically multilingual? What languages are most common? Here's what three local experts had to say about language in Yangon.

The traffic may be somewhat unbearable and the air, more humid than one could imagine. It is also scorching hot during summer and electricity is not always guaranteed. However, despite the language barrier issues one may face, the people of Myanmar are known to be the kindest, most welcoming and helpful people in the world. whether you may feel overwhelmed by the heat or the business of the streets downtown, you will never lose your way when you’re among the crowd of Yangon.

HELPFUL REPORT

For anyone moving here, people here are polite. Burmese language is the most common language here. The weather is moderate. The main religion here is Buddhism. There are a few Muslims and Christians too. Rice is a staple food here. There are varieties of fruits in this country.

Yangon is the second capital of Myanmar. Things are pretty cheap here compared to other Asian cities and western countrIes. For the language, we mainly use the Burmese and only some people can speak English fluently. City is safe for the foreigners and migrants compared to other cities of Myanmar.
