Dallas is a part of a larger metroplex spanning all the way to Ft. Worth. There are several different neighborhoods of drastically different levels of affluence and price points for home ownership vary wildly. Dallas is an excellent place for a great number of live events.
Dallas is known for its eating out culture i.e., residents love to eat out, so there are restaurants galore. It may be known for the JFK assassination, but it contains other attractions, such as Dallas Museum of Art and the Perot Museum. The cost of living in Dallas is low compared to the national average and there is no state income tax. However, it tends to be really hot in Dallas during summer.
