Oxford is a beautiful and vibrant city. There are many exciting and unique cafés and shops to visit. Not only do you have the grand, illustrious Oxford University Colleges, but you also have the historic Oxford Castle and Prison. If you seek a more energetic excursion, why not consider visiting the ice rink? There is so much wondering and joy to be had in the City of Oxford!

Oxford is a great, student-friendly city but similarly as expensive as London. There are lots of parks and museums in which one can get lost in the wonders presented. One of the major attractions is a 1000+ years old dungeon, which was part of a castle. There are famous movie backgrounds all around the city and surrounding areas.

A key piece of information about Oxford is its house prices: they are among the highest in the UK – second only to London – and can therefore serve to exclude first-time buyers. However, Oxford is a lovely city; it possesses a wide range of public transport facilities, which is beneficial to those without a car. The history and culture in Oxford is second to none. The University offers a variety of free talks for the public, while those interested in fashion will appreciate the many international clothing companies present at the Westgate Shopping Centre.

Oxford is known globally for its unprecedented insight into the historicity of academia; the architecture of a single gargoyle of one college conceals an impressive tale. It also offers smaller charms that a younger, ‘woke’ city cannot boast: the fascinating antiquity of shops along the cobbled path of Turl Street, for instance.
