Races and cultures of all sorts are vibrant in Stockton. The diversity in Stockton is immense. In Cesar Chavez High School, there is not one single over-dominant race or ethnicity. There are students and staff from Mexican backgrounds, Asian backgrounds, African American, Caucasian Americans, and much more. The restaurants are also diverse. On one street, can you find a Vietnamese-American shop, and across would be a Mexican taco truck, a local Indian restaurant, or even a Panera Bread. From taco trucks, especially burritos, to bubble tea or “boba” shops, to Indian curry, to iconic fast-food chains such as Wendy’s.

Events such as an Alzheimer’s Walk or Parkinson’s Disease walk occur and local high schoolers volunteer and help spread awareness, usually organized by the local high school Key Clubs, an international student-led organization that leads the acts of service in their communities to provide the volunteers. Not just local high schoolers but the community as a whole participate in events. Usually live, with streams of colors with foods and services as well, the community is active.
