Montgomery, Alabama, played a major part in the civil rights movement in America. Many citizens of Montgomery are proud to be from this city and are doing whatever they can within their sphere of influence to improve upon it. In recent years, the downtown of Montgomery has been undergoing renovation as a sort of repentance, with the hope of creating a family-friendly environment where a slave auction once stood.

Montgomery, AL is known for the birth of the Civil Rights Movement. It is a growing city that still feels like a small town. The downtown has several popular restaurants and is just a quick walk to the riverfront. In the evening the riverfront is a beautiful place to watch the sunset.
