Fort Myers is a large and growing city with many benefits to both those who reside there permanently and those who wish to visit as tourists. Take the Imaginarium which is nearby! It is a wonderful attraction for both adults and kids, for tourists and residents alike. Also, many beautiful beaches are also a great attraction for everybody year-round. Fort Myers features many popular and cool restaurants, shopping plazas and parks for both nature sighting and recreation.

If you are considering moving to the Fort Myers, FL, area it is important to know this area is popular for tourists; especially between the months of September and April. The population increases as people from states that experience cold weather and brutal winters seek the warmth of sunny southwest Florida. Although the traffic of tourist season can be rough, the beautiful beaches and scenery make it all worth it.

There is minimal winter. Southwest Florida does call for incredibly hot and humid summers. Rainy season lasts for approximately three months. Hurricanes may impact you directly or indirectly, as the bands can reach across the state from either the gulf or the east coast. It is an emerging area and is relatively close to beaches.
