Zaragoza is strategically between Barcelona and Madrid. It’s a calm, safe and relatively laid back city with interesting nightlife and incredible gastronomy. From my perspective, it’s an ideal place to raise a family where you will want for nothing. It used to be a stronghold during Roman times as can be seen from the ruins which can be found in many places. There are other monuments like the La Seo, The Basilica of the Pilar etc. which are emblematic.
