I am from Zamboanga City also known as Asia’s Latin City. You can expect to be received with open arms and hospitable people. Our language is Chavacano and it is a Spanish creole. Our city is a melting pot of Christian and Muslim cultures which creates beautiful and colorful blend of different foods, architecture and traditional clothing unique to our city.

Zamboanga is a huge and rich city. Although it is situated on the southern part of the Philippine archipelago, Zamboanga is a good place to live, with people who are very hospitable, and abundant culture. For someone moving here you should, at the very least, know the following: brownout is almost everyday, officials are incompetent, rivers are very dirty, crimes are everywhere, schools are not effective for learning, on the other hand, we have many great beaches, scenery, mountains in the rural areas of the city.

For someone moving here, know my city have witnessed more than half of my country’s history. throughout the years, the people did a good job in preserving the historical culture.
