Yorktown Heights is a lovely community in Northern Westchester County in New York State. It is known for many historical landmarks including those related to Colonial times and the Revolutionary War. Turkey Hill, located in Yorktown Heights, is a popular hiking destination. Currently, the population of Yorktown Heights is approximately 40,000 residents.
Yorktown Heights is a relatively small town in the outer suburbs of New York City. While some of my friends refer to Yorktown Heights as a boring place, the town actually has a lot to offer a potential resident. I appreciate that Manhattan is reachable from our town via a short train ride and that there are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby. someone moving here should know it may be a boring place for some people, but that it can also be a delightful place with the right mindset.
