Yavatmal is in Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra. It is Cotton City for its larger production of Cotton. you will have access only to Road Transport. It is a plateau region and is a quiet good place. But if you are migrating from a bigger city, you may feel a little uncomfortable as to people and roads and to environment.

There is scarcity of water in this place due to extreme high temperature during summer. There are not many job opportunities in the city. Civilization of the city goes back about 150 years. Many old temples and buildings still exists. Complete modernization has not taken place. City is safe from earthquakes due to its geographic position.
