Wymondham is a market town in the county of Norfolk. There is a small town centre that has a market every Friday and occasional farmers’ markets. The town also contains a church that is over 950 years old and functioned as a monastery before the Reformation. Wymondham’s local hero is Robert Kett. He led a rebellion around 500 years ago to free the common land for the poorest members of society. Many places in Wymondham are named for him, including a school and a pub.
