Winter Haven is a small suburban city in the middle of Polk County, Florida. It is a fairly calm and family-friendly area, but small crimes occur every now and then. Fine arts are valued greatly in the city, with schools around the area having successful fine arts programs. Whether it’s watching a musical or attending a holiday festival, there is always something fun to do.

Although I am a new resident of Winter Haven, I can already tell you that you must consider your pace of life when moving to this city. Winter Haven offers a wide variety of living styles. With a city structure that ranges from expansive, rural housing to jam-packed, small city apartments, you must choose whether you wish to live at the heart of this growing city, or seclude yourself to its ever-dwindling outskirts.

Someone who moves to Winter Haven should know there is a lot of afternoon traffic due to Legoland. Second, there are a lot of bad drivers who seem to have forgotten the rules of the road. Overall, it is a decent place.

Winter haven is not a big city there are a few little and a few big towns but not much. There good people and bad people, there are good cops and bad cops, and there’s a good sheriff and a bad sheriff but like some people say there’s always somewhere for someone to settle.

When one moves to Winter Haven, they should expect heavy traffic, morning to night. Polk State is in the downtown with Legoland being towards the edge of town. Food rushes are also common with selections from McDonald’s to Olive Garden. However, the town has many great people and is a wonderful place.

As a future resident of Winter Haven, it is important to enjoy all of the natural lakes that the town is structured around. The area holds a natural beauty and small town, historic feel. As summer approaches, many happy souls take pleasure in meeting up on the lake, taking dogs for walks on the local trails, and communing at the historic downtown.
