Wigan is famous for pie eating and is part of Greater Manchester. Wigan will have a train station that is part of the new HS2 fast train to London and this will push house prices up.

Wigan, a town in Greater Manchester, is famous for its pies, with the local people being colloquially known as “pie-eaters”. The population of Wigan totals over 100,000 and the town itself is made up of smaller villages such as Standish, Aspull, Leigh and Orrell, all of which have been brought together under the banner of Wigan Council.
