Westchester, Illinois, is a diverse city that allows residents to maintain a short distance to the city of Chicago while maintaining a suburban lifestyle. Westchester residents are fortunate enough to have access to a surplus of lovely parks that appeal to children of all ages. Additionally, most Westchester homes are brick and are built to withstand the elements. Westchester residents are not only welcoming and supportive, they also look out for the good of the whole through countless charity opportunities and volunteer groups.

Westchester is very residential. If you are looking to raise a family, it is a great place to consider living, since it has multiple children’s sports leagues and parks, and a pool. However, if you are young and seeking an active nightlife, this is not the town for you. There is not much of a downtown; in fact, most of the restaurants and stores are spread around town as opposed to being in one central location.
