Weatherford, TX, is a small town located just outside of Fort Worth. The county in which we reside, Parker, is known for its spectacular peaches and cutting horses. You won’t find urban living here, but a charming, quiet semi-rural town. No worries though, we have all the shops and accommodations one needs along with wide-open spaces.

Weatherford is the center of Parker County, Texas. It is a growing community, though not too diverse in population. Most work in the community is low paying, retail, or factory type businesses. Property tax and rent are disproportionately high compared to wages. Though, the community does have several beautiful parks and an amazing library.

Weatherford, Texas, is the county seat of Parker County. It is a sprawling city with a small town feel that is a short commute from Fort Worth. Parker County is named for the Parker family who moved into the area in the mid-1800s. The most notable figure of the Parker family is Cynthia Ann Parker who was kidnapped from her home by Comanche Indians. She was the mother to Quanah Parker, the last great chief of the Comanche People.
