Redlands, California, is a small town known mostly for the University of Redlands. There isn’t much exciting about the city, although it is just a ninety-minute drive from both Los Angeles and Joshua Tree. The heat can be destructive, reaching over 110 degrees in the late summer and dragging out into the months of August and September. If you’re thinking of living in Redlands be sure to bring some sunscreen!

The best thing about Redlands, California, is that it is a one-hour drive from Los Angeles, the beach, the desert, or the mountains. The second best thing about Redlands is that it grows the best-tasting oranges in the world. one should consider the humid, summer heat.

Redlands is in the desert. This means that the air tends to be hot and dry. If you are not tolerant of an arid climate, I would not suggest living here. Additionally, Redland’s residents are primarily white, Republican, and upper-middle class.
