Waukesha is a city on the western edge of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Despite its proximity to the much larger city of Milwaukee, Waukesha perfectly encapsulates the small town feeling of America. The downtown perfectly encapsulates the local culture in its impressive variety of hobby shops, towering churches and family-owned restaurants, all surrounding the serene Fox River park, right by the titular Fox River. As one progresses further from the downtown, light urban sprawl gives way to rolling hills and idyllic suburbs.
