One comment on “Washington”
The large town of Washington, Tyne and Wear, is perhaps most famous for Washington Old Hall, from where the American president George Washington’s ancestors came. People from Washington can ether be Geordies or Mackems as the town is between the cities of Sunderland and Newcastle, so it is best to check with the individual as to which way they lean should you not want to offend anyone. People here take their national identities very seriously.
