Wallingford is centrally in Connecticut, with travel to the larger towns of New Haven and Hartford within a 25 minute drive. It is close to shopping and many delightful restaurants. It is diversely populated and has a range of socioeconomic statuses, however, it is primarily middle class. It is also home to the well-known college preparatory school, Choate-Rosemary Hall.

One thing know before moving to Wallingford is there is more to do here than there is in most other parts of the country. You are within a two hour drive of two of the greatest cities in the country, if not the world. You have beaches, mountains, charming countryside, history, art, theater, music and all types of fun activities. Just because you do not seek it out does not mean it is not there. I had family visiting from California once who wanted to see New England mountains. When I said that Vermont was two hours away they were so happy because the mountains were much further from where they lived. They thought everything is so close here. It is all relative.
