Victorias City is the City of Sweets for its mass production of sugarcane. The Victorias Milling Company is responsible for the said production and the workers here are the local residents in which they are given great benefits. The City was founded on October 2, 1906, in which it has grown and developed throughout the years. The very most important thing is, not only it is called the City of Sweets because of the sugarcane but also residents here are also sweet to their neighbors and foreigners.

Victorias City is known as The Sweet Green City considering that it is the sugar capital of Negros Occidental. It is a small city but the important landmarks, such as the mall, market, city hall, etc., are very accessible and can be traveled by riding a tricycle for only PHP 10 or USD 0.8. Also, yearly Kadalag-an Festival is celebrated to commemorate the city’s Patron Saint Nuestra Senora de la Victoria. The people are also friendly and hospitable which are few of the good traits possessed by Filipinos so it would be easy to live here.
