When moving to Urbandale, it is important t know how versatile it is. With a large population of families and new business, there are many opportunities to feel at home. Being only a 20-minute drive from Des Moines, a smaller urban city, you can easily access new restaurants, boutiques, and cultural landmarks.

There are many conveniences available to those living in Urbandale. Grocery stores and restaurants are plentiful and offer a reasonable variety. Traffic in Urbandale is about average when compared to any other suburban area. The weather is hot in summer time and can be quite cold in winter.

Urbandale is a wonderful place to raise a family. The schools have high rankings. Urbandale averages in the top 20% of school districts in Iowa. Best of all, the city has many parks and trails for families to spend time together and appreciate the city’s natural beauty.

Urbandale is a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, though I am moving at the end of the year. The country ignores Iowa for all but a few months before each caucus. When the caucus drama begins, every news outlet in America swarms our town and follows every move a candidate or voter makes.
