If you are moving to Uppsala, Sweden, the following are things you should know. Uppsala is the fourth largest city in Sweden and the country’s historical capital. It is the home of Scandinavia’s oldest university; and is, therefore, a city with a large student population. The university is an old institution with a number of ancient traditions; including “the running of the students” and Valborg. Uppsala is best enjoyed in June when the city is warm and in full bloom. Winters – as is typical in Scandinavia – are cold and quite dark.
