It is the capital of the state. It is a small city and has very few employment opportunities. Most of the labor force are either entrepreneurs or government related. The city is a safe place to live but it lacks life and excitement. If you ask me I’d say that the cons far outweigh the pros.

Umuahia is not an easy place due to its lack electricity and other necessary social amenities. If you must relocate to Umuahia, you have to consider buying a generator, you have to live in the urban or suburban areas of Umuahia and make sure the road to your house is accessible.

Anyone moving here should know price of fuel is high, we go to market only on Thursday and Fridays and people are always friendly to newcomers and we have a newly constructed shopping mall and at the centre of our road there is an iconic structure built t represent the symbol of our state that is God’s own state.

It has a population of over two thousand people and is governed by our amiable Governor Okezie Ikpeazu. Umuahia houses one of the biggest markets in the history of Nigeria known as the Ubani market. It is a great city.

When looking for a quiet place, my city is the best to consider. It doesn’t have much going on and business is usually family owned. If one wishes to escape the noise and traffic of bigger cities, Umuahia is the perfect, little place for them. To gain exposure for a business, however, it’s not the best option unless they are quite experienced.

Consider if they are okay with a non-bustling atmosphere. It a small town where not much goes on in and only should be taken as a last resort to start a business. If the mover isn’t interested in getting exposure for their business, it is a quaint, little place.
