Twentynine Palms is in the Mojave Desert of sunny Southern California. It is a small town home to nearly 2,000 people and the world’s largest United States’ Marine Corps base. The Marine Corps base, locally referred to as MCAGCC, is over 100,000 square miles. Marines all over the United States spend one month aboard MCAGCC prior to deploying to prepare for what they might expect to do while overseas.
