It is usually called the ‘brown roof city’ because it has many ancient buildings whose zinc roofing sheets have rusted over the years. Homes are affordable, you can rent a lovely 2 or 3 bedroom apartment for about a third of what you will pay for the same in neighbouring Lagos.
