Dumaguete City is known popularly as the “City of Gentle People.” It has been listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the perfect places in the world for life after retirement. It is peaceful, not congested, and most of all, the people are perfectly hospitable. There is no other place compared to Dumaguete City.

Dumaguete City is an ideal place for both retirees and young adults. The cost of living is significantly lower than Cebu City and Bacolod City. There is not a lot of traffic, and there is a perfect balance of city life and being close to nature. After living in big cities, moving back to Dumaguete has been the best life choice. My favorite part of living here is that I can practice yoga for half the price of what I usually pay when I was still living in Cebu.
