Tiruvannamalai is a temple town. It is famous for the Lord Shiva temple and a walk around the temple which is 14 km in distance and takes about three to four hours to complete. There are several other places. These include the Ramanashram, Sathanur Dam and Seshadri Ashram. It involves about two hours of bus travel to reach the place from the nearby town, namely, Vellore. There are nearly all the facilities here for a comfortable and economic living. It is said that one visiting this place gets a perfect vision of why he was born in this world.
