When moving to Spokane, Washington, one must realize that it is much different than other cities sprawled throughout this state. Rather than being close to the Puget Sound and busy within the big city, Spokane is landlocked and filled with massive fields and as many pine trees as far as you can see. It’s not all bad, the city has beautiful infrastructure in the city, as well as a busy nightlife scene. If considering to relocate to Spokane, the most outstanding information I could give is that this city is an amazing place to raise a family.

Spokane, WA, is a small city, famous for the clock tower that resides in the center of Riverfront Park. Many come from all over to slide down the Red Wagon’s metal handle and scour the shelves of Auntie’s Bookstore and Uncle’s Gameshop. The IMAX theater, though recently shut down, used to play nature and space documentaries I used to see on school field trips. Spokane feels like a home to anyone who is so kind.

If you’re moving to Spokane, you need to be prepared to commute to work. Spokane is tied with Tacoma as the second biggest city in Washington, and though many jobs exist, they’re centralized in locations far from most housing. Also, invest in hiking boots! There are plenty of hiking trails and parks surrounding Spokane Valley. Taking your time to get out in nature and explore the scenery is a fantastic way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city itself.
