The Colony is a beautiful town in North Dallas area. Many apartments and houses are surrounded by stores, malls and restaurants. I feel safe here and it is relatively quiet. Weather is nice most of the year, with snow being a rarity, and typically gone the next day.

The Colony, Texas, has one high school and during football season, Friday night lights are a priority. The Colony High School Alumnis, current students, teachers, and even casual citizens come out to support their hometown football team. The Colony is a great place to live because you are close to The Dallas Cowboys, The Texas Rangers, and even the Dallas Mavericks. With all of these sports teams being so close, town pride continues through professional sports. The Colony is a very competitive town, whether it is the town’s high school rival or it is NFL Sunday.

The Colony has a large variety of food places. There is food on absolutely every corner of the town, from mom and pop, to fast food restaurants, even to huge chain restaurants. The people of The Colony are all sorts of different races, ethnicities, and religions, but rather than separating themselves from one another, they unite with their differences. The Colony may not be as well known as Houston, but the town comes together to unite as one. With the town being smaller, you can grow a genuine connection with your neighbors.

The Colony has always been a smaller town until recently, when Grandscape came to town. Grandscape contains Scheels, multiple restaurants, a movie theater, and even an indoor go karting place, called Andretti. Parents take kids to go play games, couples go out to eat, and friends go to concerts. The Colony contains multiple neighborhoods, deluxe apartments, and hotels.

The Colony is a middle-class suburb of Dallas. Residents enjoy hiking, biking, golfing, and swimming. Many residents decided to move to The Colony because of its proximity to major highways, stellar school districts, clean neighborhoods, top-rated restaurants, and refreshing natural scenery. Numerous national and international corporations are headquartered in The Colony.
