Tehri Garhwal is a place known for one of the world’s largest hydroelectric projects harnessing waters of two important river of Himalayas namely Bhagirathi and Bhilangana. The most important tourist attraction of the place is the Tehri Dam as it is one of the highest in the world. It is multipurpose rock and earth fill embankment dam.
