That Tallahassee is the capital leads to the simple tourist interests — Capitol building, Florida history museum, historic government sites. But if you look deeper, you will see the culture underneath fed by three great colleges and residents. Talented local theaters, music of all types in bars/cafes, local art galleries/shops, and, of course, a growing variety of cultural restaurants for anybody’s taste buds!

Anyone and everyone who would like to go away to college should consider moving to Tallahassee, Florida. No matter what you would like to study or pursue, we have a school for you! With two universities and a community college, there is an institution for everyone. Not only are we home to the infamous Florida State University Seminoles, we are also home to the Florida Agriculture and Manufacturing University Rattlers, a historically black university. All in all, Tallahassee is home to many amazing options for a brand new college student.

In moving to Tallahassee, the first important note is having a sense of direction. The roads are smaller when compared to larger cities, and there are more stop lights to encounter. While people believe that small details do not matter, it is important to remember how much an average person drives a car. Whether they go to work or grab dinner with their family, Tallahassee is a small city with more historical significance than traffic on the roads.

Unlike most cities in Florida, Tallahassee possesses rolling hills. The climate is similar to that of Georgia, with short, colder winters, while still possessing the long, hot summers characteristic of Florida. The social scene is populated by college students, with more than three universities in the area. Restaurants, clubs, shops, and libraries dot the landscape, holding opportunities for singles, couples, and families, young and old.

Summers are hot and humid. However, in the Autumn it cools down and temperatures are mild to cool until mid-spring. There are two major universities in Tallahassee as well a a community college and vocational/technical school. It is also the State Capitol. Tallahassee has a diverse population and that diversity is celebrated in city-wide festivals.

The city has a wide array of restaurants, from Japanese to classic American. My favorites are the many unique sushi restaurants and vegan eats. When it comes to food, the people of Tallahassee always seem eager to try something new.

Tallahassee, FL is the capital of the state. It is home to a lot of sites that I highly recommend. These include the Florida State University (FSU) campus and the Lake Ella park. Tallahassee is also home to many shops, malls, and local restaurants. While not perfect, Tallahassee is a great city.

The city is very busy from August to December, and then from January to April due to college students. The city is only a pleasant place to drive in May through July. The city is increasingly busy during session as Tallahassee is the capital of Florida. The city is beautiful as there are a lot of canopy roads.

Tallahassee takes great pride in taking care of their trees. The trees are cared for daily by the citizens. All the trees together look like a forest which it is beautiful. During fall and winter, the city is beautiful with the different colors of leaves and the striped branches.

Someone moving to Tallahassee should know the intense humidity, abundance of traffic, and unpredictable weather. Being the capital of the state, and home to the Florida State University, Tallahassee a hub of mixed culture and community. The bar scene, especially near campus, is raucous but incredibly enjoyable nonetheless, and the nearby nature trails and parks are perfect spots to decompress and enjoy the outdoors.

The city has three colleges: Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College. Tallahassee is the Capital of Florida. the town is comprised of college students and government workers. If those interested in living in a large city or a town that is residential, this is not the right town.
