Sudbury is a beautiful market town with lots of history, such as being the birthplace of artist Gainsborough. There are plenty of historical sites to visit locally, lots of green space and excellent cycling routes. A variety of pubs and restaurants are available, as well as a variety of hotels.
Sudbury is a market town. It is near the core villages of Long Melford and Lavenham. All three, are part of the Suffolk Wool Towns. The wool trade was of great importance in these areas. The wealth it brought to the area can be seen by the size of their magnificent churches.
