If you’re moving to Shreveport, Louisiana, the most important thing to know is that there are some crime areas, but those areas will be marked so you will know which areas to be cautious of. Otherwise, we have great restaurants all over town. We also have the Texas Street Bridge that lights up on special occasions; it’s a sight to see. There are Mardi Gras parades in the month of February and our African American parade in January. Come and see what we have to offer!

Shreveport is home to many family friendly church congregations. Conscientious medical care is available from the numerous Willis Knighton hospitals, and urgent care clinics.

The drivers here aren’t the best. Gas is typically pretty cheap compared to many there places. The cost of living is fairly low and there are many good properties available. The majority of big businesses are on Youree Drive, which is also called Louisiana 1. Shreveport and Bossier and divided by the Red River.
