The natives are kind and helpful, and are very pleased if you use their native language. However, I must advise that it’s best to not compare this city with other cities as the city dwellers pride themselves on serenity. I must also add that the internet service is below par and I’d suggest a fiber-based internet service.

“Shimoga”, in the central part of Karnataka, India. Shimoga city is the district headquarters of the Shimoga district. It has been renamed officially as Shivamogga, meaning Shiva-Mukha or “Face of Shiva”. Throughout the different eras, Shimoga has been ruled by various dynasties such as Chalukyas, Kadambas, Gangas, and Hoysalas. Stretched right beside the Tunga River, Shimoga is the gateway to the Western Ghats and called “Gateway of Malnad” by the locals.

Shivamogga is a district in Karnataka state of India. It is in the central part of the state. It is a tourist place. Surrounded by dense forests and river, there are many tourist spots. People in Shivamogga speak Kannada mainly. Hindi and English are very less spoken and understood languages.

A famous tourist destination in Karnataka, Shimoga also has a storehouse of stuff to offer its shopaholic visitors. It is mainly famous for handicrafts, rosewood carvings, sandalwood, sarees with kasuti work and wooden toys laced in lacquer. It is also one of the coolest place and it has very less population. Shivamogga is the best place for the People who love greenery, nature and peace.
