The Robin Hood Festival is held each summer with a parade, Maid Marion court, entertainment and carnival. The city has numerous little libraries scattered throughout neighborhoods which are small elevated boxes with books for people to take and leave. These are very popular with more being built every year. There are many things to do at the high school such as lacrosse, the swim team, the green club and Future Farmers of America.

Sherwood, Oregon, has lots of opportunities for youth such as sports and arts. The local YMCA has swim lessons and seasonal sports. Summer camps are available in the area. If you have a particular interest, there is probably a club, class or organization for it locally. The community is very involved and outgoing.
