If you’re planning to or thinking about moving to this now suburban city just southeast of Indiana’s capital Indianapolis, you will be delighted to know our city council and others of the community are really working towards the general, social and recreational appeal of this once hole in the wall town. They’re giving special attention to art, education, local history, and local famous individuals from the past and present. People in this growing town are hardworking, social, and respectable individuals who will welcome you with open arms whether visiting or moving in. I don’t regret the move!

Anyone moving to Shelbyville, Indiana should know it is a small town that is close to a big city. While there is not a lot to offer in the way of museums and out, there are various other activities to enjoy. For instance, the Blue River Memorial Park is a fun place for both adults and children. The park has a clean and safe playground for children of all ages. There is also a splash pad for the kids to enjoy during the hot summer. For dog owners, there is also a park for them on the same property. The walking trails at the park are also great. If all of this is not enough, the town is within 30 miles of Indianapolis, where there is much more to see and do.
