When moving to Shelby, NC know we are 45 minutes from Charlotte. We are in the perfect place for a day trip to either the mountains or the beach. The city of Shelby is known as, “The City of Pleasant Living.” Those wanting to move here should know everyone they meet will have an impact on them in one way or another.

Shelby is a small town that usually has a small city feel. During summer, people can gather for “Live at 5” concerts, for plays, or even for events like chalk fests from the Arts Council. Baseball fans will be pleased each summer as the American Legion World Series and accompanying concerts come to town. Even if a person is not active in actual events in Shelby, the bars and restaurants downtown offer a relaxing vibe for friends and families.
