The city is famous for its massive pineapple plantation, which has become its landmark. Besides being famous for agricultural activities, Sarikei is also known for its infamous prawn noodle, served in a coconut shell, which makes the noodle tastier. Other than that, the city is not too overcrowded, thus, making it a suitable place for any couple considering to raise a family there.
