One comment on “Saratoga”

Nestled inconspicuously in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Saratoga is a relatively mellow, small town compared to its neighboring Bay Area cities. The housing prices are exorbitant, but the schools are top-notch and ranked nationally. (Ask the students about the learning environment, however, and the words “stress” and “competitive” will appear a common thread.) Residents are typically old-fashioned, preferring to keep the town free from corporate developments; aside from a lone Starbucks, almost all establishments downtown are local businesses that have occupied the same spot for ages.
