Kollam, which is in Kerala, is in the farthest corner of Indian peninsula. It is calm and serene. Pollution is less here. My city has everything -lagoons, lakes, hills, rivers, sprawling paddy fields. People here are educated and well-meaning. My city’s cuisine is incredible, one of a kind. My city is a tropical paradise.
Someone moving to Kollam should know about the potholes here. The roads are accident prone and the pollution is sometimes stifling. On a positive note, there is a beautiful lighthouse nearby, with a sprawling view of a spectacular breakwater. The local cuisine is another appealing aspect of this quaint little town that was originally renowned for its cashew nut factories and juicy prawns.
