San Marcos is a college town that often has inexperienced and rude drivers. Similar to other college towns, housing costs are often significantly higher for families. If you are single with no children, San Marcos is a great town. For those, who have families, small or large, please consider all options before moving here.

San Marcos is a wonderful city. It is where Texas State University is located. We have many recreational activities such as parks and a refreshing river that runs through the middle of town. There are numerous restaurants and food trucks that also call San Marcos home.

San Marcos, Texas, is well known for the college. Texas State University is the college and while school is in session traffic is horrible! On the positive side there is also the beautiful San Marcos river. In summer there are always people out on the water soaking up the sun.
