Fast developing place. Has the biggest platinum mines, it is therefore called the platinum city. There are lot of opportunities here.

If you’re moving to Rustenburg, South Africa you need to take into account the economic strife the country is under. Basic essentials such as water and electricity aren’t accessible by many following political imbalances that affect normal tax paying citizens on the ground. Besides this ordeal, Rustenburg is a fast paced growing town that’s quickly taking the shape of your metropolitan cities. Public transport is accessible, shopping malls are closer to homes than before, medical institutions (private and public) are also at reasonable reach as well as schools. And no, for the love of all that is good, we do not have wildlife roaming our streets. We are not in the bundus and that would be plain ignorant to think so. If you want to see wildlife, like a normal person, you’d have to pay for a game reserve vacation or trip to a destination of your choice and spend time there. Apart from anything else, I hope this helps a little in making a sound decision.

The city is quiet. Any form of resources can be found here, from libraries, banks and parks, to malls, etc. Be patient with the people in regards to making friends because the people here are reserved.

The city has many amenities and activities, like national reserves all around, Sun City resort is always a place to visit. Most importantly the people of Rustenburg are friendly and welcoming.

Rustenburg has only one cinema, located at Waterfall Mall. It is a Ster-Kinekor, not a Numetro. Their last movie starts at around 8pm and 9pm. The is a Game center next to it. The other Cinema is at Sun City. I think it is a Numetro. With regards to games, Sun City is the hub in Rustenburg.

My city is a mining town located in the north western region of South Africa, where Platinum is the biggest element mined. We have no University in our town, but boast wit great elementary schools. We have a neighborhood called Waterkloof. Setswana is our first spoken language followed by Afrikaans, English is also widely spoken by the residents.

The city is known as the platinum city because of the many PGM mines in the city. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. The city has extremely high temperatures in summer. Our primary language is Setswana but we are a very diverse city. One of Africa’s most popular tourist attractions, Sun City, is located in Rustenburg. The city is home to Africa’s richest kingdom, the Bafokeng Kingdom.

My city is a quiet and pleasant place. We don’t have a massive nor highly developed infrastructure but we do have one of South Africa’s greatest entertainment and gambling resort. We do pride ourselves on our low crime rate, great schooling system and authentic South African living.

Rustenburg is regarded as a big city with the infrastructure of a small town. Traffic is always a mess during peak hours with taxi drivers doing as they please. However, there are a few pure people which makes this town worthwhile. You will always find the same people at the same place every day. We are all creatures of habit.

It has a lot of mines and everyone works there, I think we need to think outside the box, everyone is just trying to survive, it is not that modern, I think we need more fun activities. Be prepared to get a tan because it sure does get bright outside.

It can get ridiculously hot in summer. There is only one mall in Rustenburg because is the city is still developing from primarily acting as a mining town. It’s possible that you may need to have a love for nature because most activities in the area center around animal parks and wildlife.
