You can only fall in love 🥰 with Rome. Enjoy the narrow streets leading you to lovely eateries and bars. So many secrets to discover, the people are amazing too.

Rome is crowded and traffic is horrible. Suburbs are ok. Relatively expensive cost of living compared to most of Italy…

There is no doubt that Rome is astonishing. Unfortunately, there are some downsides to living in such a big city. First, the buses are not as efficient as many tourist may think. The buses, also known as “ATAC”, often run late and are usually not clean. the city streets are also filled with trash. On the bright side there is a lot to do in Rome so no need to worry about getting bored!

Be careful buying and stamp bus tickets because there are many controls. But Rome is a very safe city so my advice is just to follow the rules. And not break the law. Visiting Coliseum and Trastevere is s must. Or “Lo Zodiaco” an amazing sightseeing on an hill where you can admire all Rome from above.

The temperature during summer is very high and that they should consider this before opting to move to Rome. It’s a very beautiful city with lots of tourist attractions. During winter, because of the humidity, you feel more the cold and if you suffer it, it’s another thing that you should think about it.

Rome is a beautiful city with many tourist sites. It has its benefits and its downsides. One of them being that Rome has a weird traffic flow that could be hard for people who are not used to it. But aside from small imperfections like this one, Rome is an amazing city with beautiful people and culture.

I am an expat living in Rome, Italy. Before coming to Rome, I romanticized the idea of Italy and the eternal city, but I did not learn the language before. the language barrier between English and Italian was extremely difficult to overcome. The one thing to consider before moving here, is learning Italian. Even just the basics are enough to impact your life once you move here.
