Living in Rock Hill, South Carolina:
Tips for Moving and Visiting

Living in Rock Hill is quite literally like living under a rock. This place sucks, don’t move here. The people suck, the work sucks, the climate sucks and the food sucks.
Rock Hill is a growing community on the outskirts of Charlotte, NC. It’s quite diversified so you can likely find anything you want. It’s just barely clinging to the small town feel so if that’s what you are looking for this might not be it.
We are a small city that is growing by leaps and bounds. Sports have precipitated that growth as we have worked to bring in soccer tournaments from around the country. A BMX arena has also been built to facilitate more growth. The newest addition to the sporting industry here was the approval to build the new Carolina Panthers’ practice stadium. We have shopping close by both in the city and within a 30-minute drive to Charlotte, NC.
Rock Hill is a wonderful city that has the feel of small-town America despite having over seventy-thousand people in it (which is large for South Carolina). When visiting, you will experience true Southern hospitality at just about every corner. I find myself having an enjoyable conversation with at least one stranger almost every time I run an errand. With events such as Red, White and Boom! and ChristmasVille, you will enjoy your time at Rock Hill no matter when you visit.
When moving to Rock Hill there are certain rules to obey in order for proper assimilation. One must not leave her or his residence after midnight. You must not harm the night creatures, they simply follow the rules of nature. When engaging with said night creatures, be wary when feeding.
