Roanoke is a beautiful place as it offers the best of both worlds – a city and country feel. Even in the city, Roanoke does not have a big city vibe, which is nice when you are not used to that. The countryside is green and spread out, where one can sit out on their porch in a rocking chair and really relax. Come to Roanoke, you’ll see!

I would like for someone to know they we are know for the mountains in our area. We also have zoo on top of a mountain as well. I would also like them to know we have a giant star on top of the mountain where the zoo is located. The schools in are area have very good academic programs and have very good sports teams.

Roanoke, Virginia, is a quiet town in Southwest Virginia, rich in its history of the railroad. We have a multitude of parks and offer many outdoor activities for adventure seekers. Unique to our location is a large man made star that sits atop the most central mountain called Mill Mountain. The downtown is known for its many shops, restaurants, and boutiques and a science museum and farmer’s market.
