Port Hardy is a remote town on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. Once known for thriving fishing, mining and logging industries, Port Hardy is now home of some of the lowest employment rates in the province. While the serenity and beauty of the natural landscapes make living here desirable, the devastating impacts of residential schools leaves an abundance of social issues and challenges.
