If you are planning on taking a hike down south, remember that though we are known for many negative things -eish load-shedding-, we are home to one of the most biologically diverse areas and absolutely stunning landscape. We have so much nature and other good aspects to offer but it is never portrayed that way online. We are home to, by far, the most wildlife for such a small area in the world!

Port Alfred is a small coastal town and thus very peaceful. The people here are amicable and accommodating. There is a total of four beaches in West Bank, namely; East beach, Kelly’s Beach, West beach and Kiddies beach. It a great place for a relaxed family vacation. There is a wide array of small family owned restaurants to select from, so you will be in for a treat.

When moving to Port Alfred one should be aware of the windy weather and always be prepared to experience all four seasons daily. Another consideration one must be aware of is that the crime rate is high on the Eastern side of town. one of the biggest benefits of Port Alfred is the lovely ocean that surrounds the town.
